High damp meter readings were recorded to the ground floor walls, which appear to have been caused by failure of the damp-proof course. Further investigation by a specialist contractor who is a member of the Property Care Association (PCA) or similar is required to determine the extent of the dampness and the cost of remedial works. There is also a risk of associated decay to adjacent timbers, which should be inspected and treated or repaired as necessary
