Text: The mortar fillets to the roof abutments are satisfactory at present but these will have a limited life and be prone to cracking

Text: Some slates are now held in place with metal strips (often referred to as tingles). This is an indication that slates have slipped in the past and have been replaced on an individual basis. The nails securing the original coverings will be more comprehensively starting to fail

Text: There is insufficient projection to the verge which may result in some water penetration and this arrangement should be improved

Text: Some roof coverings have deteriorated and need replacing and further replacements will be needed in the future as the coverings continue to age
